Aaron Butler

Biography

For sixteen years, Aaron has worked as a teacher, researcher, author, advocate, and community organizer. Aaron is a Senior Research Analyst in the Office of the Commissioner at the Kentucky Department of Education. He serves as lead researcher on the Strategic Planning and Research Team, which plans and develops research and evaluation products that inform agency leadership and the Kentucky Board of Education. Previously, Aaron was a Researcher at the Center for Evaluation, Policy, and Research at Indiana University. Aaron started his career as an English teacher in New York City and taught K-12 students for four years.

He is an alum of the Strategic Data Project, an initiative of the Harvard University Center for Education Policy Research with a mission of transforming the use of data in education to improve student outcomes.
